Swimming SA welcomes Selma Barlow to the role of Chairperson of the Board following Peter Graham's retirement at the 2023 AGM. Congratulations Selma! 🥳

 

We thank Peter and look forward to celebrating his contribution to the sport in the new year. We are sure to hear his golden voice announcing on pool deck for a while to come! 🎤

 

Thanks to those clubs in attendance at the AGM, we look forward to gathering again in 2024. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and all the best for the coming championship season. 🏊🏅


A bit about Selma …

Selma has been involved in the swimming community for over 15 years, initially as a parent of swimmers volunteering her time as a committee member and technical official in the UK before moving to Australia in 2012.

 

She quickly joined the swimming community in South Australia serving as a committee member for Norwood before joining the Swimming SA board and technical committee. A regular on pool deck, Selma enjoys volunteering her time as a referee and official at regional, state and national meets.

 

A visionary business leader, Selma was a company director and consultant for over 20 years, holds a Masters of Business Administration and now leads Economic Development and Tourism in local government. Selma is passionate about creating an inclusive and great swimming community and is looking forward to leading the board.
