SATURDAY 23 July, 2:00 to 3:15 pm

Swimming Australia is introducing a new "Safe Sport Framework" in July 2016.  Along with including "best practice" processes and guidance, the framework contains a new "Code of Conduct for dealing with Children & Young People.

The Code lifts the behavioural standards required of us all to ensure that we do our best to safeguard our children in swimming.   This session will enable Clubs to understand and comply with the new standards and procedures which are complusory from 29 July 2016.

Swimming Australia will provide information about the new Junior Dolphins Program and how clubs can benefit from this program to attract new members by running a diverse range of programs/activities.

2016 Club Relay Championships - Sunday 24 July 2016

The championships come alive on the final day with the 2016 Short Course Club Relay Championships!

The theme for this year's Relay Championship is Rio!

Everyone is encouraged to get behind the Rio theme and dress up!
A speedo prize will go to the best dressed swimmer or spectator!

Please note that as per previous years, there will be no reserved seating for clubs at this session. All seating is General Admission.

Only at the Relay Championships, there will be a DJ running the tracks at the 2016 Championships during the warm-up and in between races.

March On

The March On for the 2016 South Australian Short Course Championships will be held on the final session of the event in conjunction with the festivity that comes with the Club Relay Championships. All clubs competing in the Club Relay Championships are expected to participate in the March On. We encourage participants to represent their club with pride! In the past we have seen great representations and dress-ups; even mascots! We can’t wait to see what this year brings. We encourage your club’s captains and coaches to participate and to provide us with a brief club history. Participants will meet in the marshalling room just prior to the official ceremony and will march on to pool deck with the officials rostered for that particular session. Participants will remain on pool deck during the official ceremony.

The Relay Championships are traditionally busy with a lot of swimmers and spectators.
It's important that everyone plans ahead to ensure the day is a positive experience.

Please note that the onsite carpark will be especially busy - use caution when navigating in the area.
There will likely be queues at Event Entry - please be patient and only walk in the event areas.
The Grandstand is unreserved seating. All property left in the grandstand after the AM session will be removed.
