The Upper North Interclub 2024-25 season launched in Jamestown on November 22nd, and after twelve weeks of racing, they wrapped things up with a brilliant finale in Gladstone on March 14th. Across five venues in the region, swimmers gave it their all in six scratch and six handicap meets, showing up week after week to race, improve, and celebrate every achievement along the way.
For the fourth year running, Jamestown proved unstoppable, taking home all four shields yet again. But it wasn’t without a fight - Booleroo Centre came incredibly close to claiming the Team Shield, finishing just 11 points behind. Every club brought their best, making for a season full of close finishes, big personal bests, and a whole lot of fun.

A huge congratulations to all five clubs for another fantastic season! These interclub time trials are a place where swimmers of all ages get to build confidence, test themselves in a mix of scratch and handicap races, and chase new personal bests. It's about showing up, having a go, and celebrating every bit of progress.
The Upper North region is already looking ahead to even bigger things, with these clubs set to co-host the 2026 Country Championships with fellow region member Port Pirie. With another season in the books, the momentum keeps building, and we can’t wait to see what’s next as they build toward January 2026 when swimmers from across the state descend on the region. Well done to all swimmers, coaches, and especially the volunteers who keep these events running. Bring on the next season - bigger, better, and faster!
